Automattic gets $29.5 million

Automattic, the creator of the famous WordPress blogging/content management software, has received $29.5 million in Series B funding.

This was first published on many blogs, then confirmed on Matt, the creator’s blog. According to his post:

You’ve probably seen the news on GigaOM, Automattic has raised a new “series B” round of funding. We’re entering what I consider Act II of the Automattic story. I’ll talk about where we’re going, but first some history.

Glenwood Springs

My Firefox Add-ons

I love add-ons! True, too many might slow down Firefox a bit, but they work really well and help me out. Here’s a list of all the must haves I use: (no links, it would take too long Just google them)

Adblock Plus (can sometimes block images, but works well in general.)
Clipmarks
ColorfulTabs (helps a lot!)
Cooliris Previews (I’ve used this millions of times in the 2 weeks I’ve had it. ESSENTIAL!)
Copy Plain Text
del.icio.us (used it a minute ago)
Digg This! (Great!)
Download Statusbar (takes some getting used to)
Fasterfox
IE Tab (great for designers!)
Nuke Everything Enhanced (helps with printing pages)
ReloadEvery (rarely needed but is VERY helpful when needed)
Stumbleupon Toolbar (great for passing spare time)
tlbox (great tools)
